It’s Friday, It’s 13th And A Flat Tire

For some, the number 13 is considered an unlucky number. But for me that’s superstition. I don’t believe in it either, though I had a misadventure happened on that day!

It was Friday and that was November 13th 2020. I left home as early as 4 in the morning and rushed to Cagayan de Oro City to collect some documents. Of course, I can always leave home at a later time in the morning but I planned to get there even before the doors open so I would be the first in line. And YES I was there exactly as planned and I had all the docs released just before noon. Mission accomplished! So, 13 is a LUCKY number!

Since I still had plenty of time, I dropped by an agri shop to pick some items needed on the farm (I used to grow mushrooms during that time). And before I headed home, I made a brief stop at the condo to check mine and my brother’s unit as well. The units were all good and ready for turnover to us. So that’s another reason that 13 is a LUCKY number! Told you.

I left Cagayan de Oro at 6 PM a bit tired on the wheel after a day’s driving here-and-there. But with soft and loud music on, I managed to get moving. Then the misadventure came out of nowhere. I had a flat tire not on one but on two tires. I couldn’t believe it was happening right in the middle of heavy rain and at night. That was the most undesirable time of the day for a flat tire to happen!

But wait, am not finished yet. The tires burst just in front of a vulcanizing shop. I only got one spare tire so I have to leave the car that night and bought new tires the next day. Told you, huh… 13 is a lucky number.

How I got home? Simple, called for SOS! Have a great Monday everyone.

I enjoy the seas but I love the less demanding life in a farm more than anything else. While I find myself caught between personal life and work, I still manage to make time doing the one thing that I enjoy – BLOGGING.
