Amusement World
Amusement World cruise ship, also known as “MS Patricia,” was one of the popular gambling vessels sailing in Singapore’s waters? The ship was built in 1967 and was owned by the New Century Group based in Hong Kong, China. It was operated by New Century Cruise Lines and was mostly anchored in the Singapore Straits, offering cruises to nowhere. However, due to the COVID crisis, the company decided to retire the ship in late April 2021, along with another ship called Leisure World. The decision was made because the pandemic severely affected the operations of the cruise ships, which were unable to generate revenue while incurring maintenance costs. Nevertheless, it was an interesting journey for the Amusement World, which served the industry for over 54 years.
