From Rough Seas in Bay of Biscay to Tropical Paradise of Funchal

It can be quite challenging to muster up the motivation to write, especially when I’m at home. Although I have plenty of free time, it feels like time passes by much too quickly. As someone who enjoys spending time at home, I prefer to sit back and relax, cherishing every moment spent with my loved ones. However, now that I have returned to work, I have been able to get back into writing and even shared an update on my blog yesterday.

As for the ship’s voyage, we hit a rough patch when we encountered turbulent waters in the Bay of Biscay. The captain made the difficult decision to take a detour to the port of Bilbao in Spain for safety reasons. We stayed in Bilbao for three nights before resuming the voyage.

To make up for lost time, the cruise itinerary was adjusted, ensuring that we reach Funchal by November 9th. This will be a momentous occasion as the three Fred. Olsen ships – Bolette, Borealis, and Balmoral – will converge at a single location, providing passengers with the opportunity to experience this historic event.

At long last, our ship is finally en route to the stunning island of Funchal, in Madeira. The anticipation is real, and we can hardly contain our excitement as we look forward to another historic reunion of the three Fred. Olsen ships at this tropical paradise. With warm weather, sunshine, and breathtaking scenery in Funchal, we know we’re in for an unforgettable adventure!

I enjoy the seas but I love the less demanding life in a farm more than anything else. While I find myself caught between personal life and work, I still manage to make time doing the one thing that I enjoy – BLOGGING.
