What it’s like to fly with Philippine Airlines direct flight from Manila to LA?
For most Filipinos flying to the US, Philippine Airlines is always the number one choice. Well, at times depending on the cost of airfare, it is money wise to opt for another airline instead. But for those who prefer non-stop direct flight from Manila to the US regardless of how much the ticket costs, Philippine Airlines is sure lands on the top picks.
Just a few days ago, I flew with Philippine Airlines (Flight PR-102) – it’s the cheapest air ticket my office in Manila could get to bring me to my assigned vessel in Hamilton, Bermuda. It’s a direct flight from Manila to LA with connecting flight (that never made it to Bermuda) with American Airlines. Well, the plane actually flew to Bermuda it’s just because of the weather that the pilot decided to flew back to JFK (New York) after two unsuccessful landing attempts.
If I am to be asked why Philippine Airlines, well, in addition to PAL’s approachable and all-smiles FAs, is the meal. Can you imagine your favorite adobo for dinner and that corned beef guisado for breakfast served mid air? The food may be as simple as that but it really is a great way to fly out from Philippines with stomach indulged with food I so loved and craved back home.
In Economy Class I would say we were treated with delightful Filipino meals and assortment of beverages. For those seated in Business and First Class, I don’t really know, but I think it’s like they’re attending a grand fiesta!
Here’s Philippine Airlines’ Economy Class Menu Card for its flight from Manila to Los Angeles. Check if your favorite white wine, red wine, liquors, beers, cold drinks and hot drinks made it to PAL’s list of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages.
Mabuhay!
